6 mile commute for me,(3 each way). This morning must have been the most atrocious weather I've EVER cycled in. The wind was howling, the rain was being driven into my face, it felt like my lips were being tattooed! Then when I got to work I realised I'd forgotten to re-fit my rucksack cover after I'd been back in it before I left, so my bag was drenched as well

Took me until early afternoon to get everything dry, boots were sodden, but feet were dry, thank you Mr Gore-Tex

But regardless of all the above, I did it! I never felt unsafe in the wind as I was riding into rather than it being a cross wind, however, I did fear getting pushed backwards at times

Really glad I made the effort, if I had jumped in the car I'd have felt all my good intentions were doomed and probably not even felt like bothering again tomorrow.
That said, note to Mother Nature, you've proved your point love, never doubted you and never will, now enough's enough, thank you.
Roll on tomorrow
