Nothing you could have done different, as others said above it is a good job you were not going too fast to stop. Glad you were OK. I think I could have been provoked into an angry response by that, especially if the driver rudely ignored a polite request to discuss his driving.

Sorry to bring this up again but I had grief yesterday when confronted in the mess room by a work colleague who seems to hate cyclists*.He said he had found something in my video and I knew exactly what was coming next,it was about me overtaking on the zig-zags,personally im not to bothered by him although I do like to follow the road rules and am still unclear if I did right or wrong,although I have printed out section 28.

I actually overtook at the time as all cars were moving and I thought it was better not to faff about on a dodgy bit of road,which was actually shown up by quite a major incident soon after.
