Glad you're OK - and great attitude! Sometimes accidents are just that and it's not always someone's fault - although, not sure I would be quite so easygoing about it.

You did the right thing getting straight back on - I was a nervous wreck this morning, having only commuted once since my accident 6 weeks ago.

Well done you, I was shaky enough after a small scrape I have no doubt yours was more serious so it must have taken some serious courage top get back on.

I'm not at all angry or bitter, it was an accident plain and simple, we were both going slowly because of the poor visibility in the rain so no one was seriously hurt.

Totally luvin your attitude WW!!. Hope I have the good grace and judgment to act as well as you do (should an accident ever come my way).

Wishing you all the best for a speedy recovery hope the bruises dont...ahem.."interfere" too much.

Take care

Good to see you're not too badly injured WW, and straight back on the bike is the best way.

I think WW needs some special body armour made. Her "intermate" areas always seem to suffer the most :biggrin:

Well done Tubbs.
My first commute as well for 6 weeks this morning. Also took it easy, and left home extra early so I didn't have to push it too hard.

Perhaps a modified chastity belt or similar?

Glad you aren't hurt badly, and what a refreshing attitude to the whole thing.

Heal quickly and enjoy the multi coloured show that the brusies will give you.

It's weirdly trippy ;)

It was around 6pm on Friday night and was a blonde girl who had hit a green car that had turned across in front of her by the Polish church in Ealing Broadway.

I didn't say it at the time but thank you for stopping.

*Sorry, just to clarify, I was the hot blonde lying in the road.

I would have been there around that time or it may have been slightly after as it was raining....

I go past that every day on the way home...

there was another one by the North Circular near Ealing Common tube this morning as well, which didnt look too good...

Glad you are okay

I saw the ambulance but didn't see what happened. The Uxbridge Road is a bot of a minefield. Dunno who the bloke was but a cyclist in a yellow jacket (very descriptive I know) pulled over to check I was ok and was very nice.

Happy your okay WW, I've enjoyed reading your blog here and there. I haven't had my first fourwheel-twowheel convergence yet, so all the people on here lately having incidents lately (has it been more than usual the last few weeks?!) is both scaring me and girding me!

Thanks. It could have gone better to be honest - I set off deliberately after rush hour so the roads would be quieter. Didn't realise there had been a series of accidents and roads were closed all over the place. My route in was bumper to bumper (especially with lorries and trucks!) and there was no room for filtering for a nervy cyclist so I just sat in the queue for about four miles until I got past the traffic and into a bus lane. My 7.5 mile, 35 minute route managed to take well over an hour.

Just about to set off home and it's thick with fog... surely it can only get better tomorrow!
