All right it's a bit like "Belts and Braces" but if I am on a long day or more. I use both a Garmin Etrex (the yellow one) and a Cateye Velo 8 ( I use this as my every day computer). There is normally a difference between the recorded distances but not enough for my purposes.
At the end of a trip I usually record the readings and re-set but on this last two day trip I did not reset the trip after the first day and am rather puzzled, by the time difference between the two. Normally it is within minutes.
Over two days: Distance on Velo 121.31 on E Trex 119
Average MPH Velo 8.4 on E Trex 8
Time on Velo 4:23 on E Trex 19:04
Any explanations for the difference between the two times, more curious than concerned, as the ride time is not a major concern.
