My sister has asked me to ask you for your recommendations for an easy to use Digicam.

It really does need to be easy to use as they're not the most technically proficient of people and I'd be no use in helping out from a distance as I know nowt about them at all.
I reckon they could get it to fire up and take footage but the software for doing the processing/editing of it would also need to be easy to use.

It'll be used for filming the kids mainly.

I had to press her for a budget and she said £300 tops but it would be good for it to be well under budget.

Thanks in advance.

I really don't know.

I'm guessing that one will give a better picture or is it more complicated than that?

Thanks for your interest Downward, they're just happy with "normal".

They could buy a Which magazine or such like and read the reviews, asking me to ask on here was just to get some experience from real users of them as ease of use really is important to them.

We sold our old Digital Samsung V series camcorder for £50.
Takes those Mini DV tapes but for Standard Definition it was superb.
Newer ones use DVD or Hard Drive but really is it worth paying the extra for the same results ?

Get on E Bay and pick up a second hand one.
