A simple question,it may have been asked on here before. How much of your donation actually reaches the intended recipient?
It differs per charity. Best to ask the charity directly that you are considering donating to.A simple question,it may have been asked on here before. How much of your donation actually reaches the intended recipient?
They'd say it's 99 percent. It differs per charity. Best to ask the charity directly that you are considering donating to.![]()
Yes i can appreciate that without the "pen pushers" and "stamp lickers" the money wouldn't reach the intended target.I've read some tabloid scaremongering in the past that says x% of your money goes on administration, wages etc and not to the people who actually need it. I'm inclined to think that without wages and Admin, the charities wouldn't exist so therefore your money (whatever it's used for) is doing some good.
I would not donate through a 3rd party though, always directly to the charity, although who knows what sort of cut a certain company might take from the charity if for example they allow people to donate via PayPal? But even then, your donation is funding the PayPal service which enables more donations to be made from people who may otherwise give up with the website if they don't want to tap their card details in, so back to my first point really, it will all help in some way.
What's that?Make sure you giftaid![]()

Yes, and I also find it concerning that even though presumably most of the donkeys are overseas, 2/3rd of the charitable spending is in the UK.Their fundraising costs are on the higher side of the scale...
