excuse me, but what decent person lets their dog off the lead in the kids area? wardens can't be everywhere at once, which is why the onus is on the dog owners to behave appropriately. the fact that dogs aren't allowed doesn't seem to bother some people.

I think-and this is just my personal take on this-that as you are obviously not a dog person, and have not experienced anything that the thread is actually about, that you leave it at this now. It has been upsetting enough for Snapper without people jumping at her for reasons that are totally and utterly irrelevant to anything.

When anyone posts a thread about their kids trainers getting poo on them you can join in that one.

No he's not. I think as responsible dog owners we tend to be a bit sensitive about dog poo posts, I know I do. I try not to step in those posts anymore.

Human poo is a whole different ball game. I didn't think it compared in toxicity to dog poo though, toxoplaswhotsit and all that.

Lisa, snapper, I read nothing in alecs posts that were directly targetted at you guys as responsible dog owners, on the contrary. However his 'irony' point has some general validity but NOT specifically to you.

Iv nothing to back that comment up, wont pretend that I have, but as some humans can have far more contagious disease and germs than your avarage domestic dog I know which excrement id rather encounter.But that is just my feelings-rightly or wrongly

Apart from wiping the arses of Old English Sheepdogs, wiping dog shoot of kids shoes, wiping cat shoot from some other persons pet off kids playing in my garden, wiping 3 of my own childrens arses and a few others I've baby sat for over the years and some of my prior work history in faecal contamination (E.coli 0157:H7) in beef processing... not much.
I'm just interested in seeing how/why it is that human faeces are more harmful than dog to another human?

It doesn't stand that as humans have lots of contageous diseases and germs that they're neccessarily transmitted in poo. This is how people become severely misinformed as people spread feelings as fact.
To be honest I don't know either way, you may be right.

typhoid tends to thrive when human sanitation falls down. toxoplasmosis is present in dog (and i believe cat) shoot. neither is pleasant, and the existence of one does not excuse the other.
