    Never ridden a "gravel grinder" before, so looking forward to this one. Just need to get some bigger tyres.

    Don't think it matters: I've asked the mods to delete the other thread.

    What sort of bike will you be riding? I'll be riding a steel audax bike with some 33 gravel tyres. I've used it for off-road riding quite a bit this year, so hoping it's up to the job.

    It looks more like a sportive from the details in the link so I went for that as the most appropriate place.

    Got a camping pitch booked for Fri/Sat night. Wife's dropping me off then heading to a holiday cottage a few hours away and picking me up on Sunday :smile:

    Just saw your photos on instagram. I saw you at the end and I think you spoke to the guy I was riding with - an American who's bike turned out not really to be up to the job. He flatted 6 times, lost a tooth from his chainring, broke his chain and cracked his saddle!

    Were many people doing it on mtn bikes and how much was on the road? It does appeal but it looks tough and I only have a 29er now.
