<I might be hugely wrong here so feel free to slag me mercilessly>

Is that not one of these corporate bullsh*t events where you pay loads of dosh? With lots of High-5ing?

<as previously above>

Do a proper sport you nobbers.

After consulting Mr Google, Dirty Weekend is a Rat Race not a Tough Mudder.

Tough Mudder looks much more fun than the corporate Rat Race bullsh*t. Albeit it is still expensive, and people should do proper sports, like darts.

You ought to turn up at these events and heckle. @Marmion It's no use going on about it here. 'Get off that before you fall off it!', 'You are doing it all wrong!' 'This is how you have fun!' And run around kicking a ball and chasing after it, screaming 'You're all mad!', etc. That'll get through to them.

Fair point, I could then charge people wads of cash to come and watch me shouting. <wanders off to devise business plan>
I used to do the RatRace events when they first began, they started as weekend adventure races in Bristol, London, Brighton etc. They were great value and huge fun.

Then, I guess flushed with their success, they got too big for their boots (in my opinion) and started sneaking up the price until it was twice as much to do a 10k run than it was for me to do a weekend adventure race! Now, and this hurts, I agree with @Marmion (I can't believe I just typed that) and that their events are full of corporate teams of high-fivers and have almost priced out individuals.

I notice the Tough Mudder is £40 this year, all these events have got out of hand with their pricing, a definite parallel with the world of the sportive. Eeeeeeh lad, I remember doing the Tough Guy at the Donkey Sanctuary, it cost me about £15......................current price is between £84 and £140 depending on when you enter
Well i dont know anything about them..but id agree on that post..
as a one off id say its a Worth it day But you are getting fleeced..

£100 each to enter
£10 for car parking
£4,50 a pint
food was 4,5 quid For burgers pizza etc
coffee 2,80...
But everything is like this now..
Alton Towers.. showground events Concerts or these Center Parcs things..we're ripped off with a smile.

I think you may find for a one off event that they cost a lot to put on.

I'd think hiring Burghley for a weekend + set up,take down time will be very expensive..
great place for an event mind..

its £18 per person per day for the horse trials..spectating
