Metallic / sintered this time of year. Be aware you’ll need a specific type of pad, they are not universal across all disc brake makes and models
Clarke offer good value pads compared to shimanos own brand . I have used Clarke's on my ultegra disc bike when I was suffered noisey brakes and wanted a cheap set of pads to try . They worked fine but eventually I went back to shimanos own as I like everything to match

I use sintered and generally go for Nukeproof pads. So far I have managed to stop every time I needed to.

No probs stopping....but the noise ! I'm delicate enough after last night 😁

Mine can be a bit noisy when wet but no issue in the dry.
The posh ultegra one have fins and I could tell washing the bike the Clarke ones didn't look right OCD I know

The noise will be contamination. Sintered pads should not be making noises in themselves.

Took them out and cleaned them but no joy.

Did you clean rotors as well. Isopropyl alcohol does the job.

Yea spent a while doing it aswell.Still noisy as hell !
shimano br-rs405 looks like these are the pads....if you get a minute which pads would you recommend ?
