most people's experience with cable disks are not favorable because of the quality of either the cables, levers or calipers
i have a set of mechanicals on one bike and a set of hydros on another, both work flawlessly.
mechanicals are difficult to set up only if you've never done it before, but, far more rewarding when you've got it just personaly right
