Does anybody know how far it is from alexandra park to the portion of the firth and forth canal, from glasgow to loch lomond, after you've just passed dumbarton, you're on the far side of the leven. You just get those gates that require you to jump off your bike. You hesitantly manoeuvre through said gates, cross a bridge and you're at where I would like to know the distance from. From alexandra park to there. Furthest Ive ever cycled. 11th april 2020.

Well done on your longest ride!

Go on cycle.travel and plot your route there - it will tell you how far it was. (You may need to reroute a few times to stop it making changes to your route. It is worth trying to get to grips with how the site works because you can then use it to plot new routes in the future.)

Not sure EXACTLY where you mean, possibly the gates where the path goes under the A82, north of Dumbarton. And Alexandra Parade itself is quite long, so approximately 18.3 miles according to Google maps, which is your friend. Also depends which way you went through Glasgow.

I think @Brandane has got it, usually there are some beasts there as you come out from the underpass. A few extra easy miles would take you to Balloch, then a rough but doable path all the way to Tarbet. A run to Luss then back to Balloch and even the train back to the town is a good day out. 👍

Without being rude, have you heard of online mapping?
Probably not, and first post on here too, so maybe cut the newbie some slack?

New to the World Wide Web in 2020?
I get people phoning me up to ask questions which can be answered in less than 10 seconds by reading the first Google search result. It takes longer to make the phone call!

Well done Ubiqtape, sorry can't help you with the distance.
It's a few years now since I cycled that route, I liked to stop at Bowling Harbour and look at the boats there.
