Sadly, teens always have and always will do silly things, that is why their insurance is so high.
When i look back to my teen years i was a terrible driver, too fast, very dangerous, i got away with it, but some dont.
I dont know how you stop it.

I agree and you can't, life is going at 100mph for teenagers and they don't and never will think, "What if"?

Dunno though...when I was that sort of age I was completely reckless in sooo many ways and so were most of the kids in my school...fast forward to now and most of them seem to be more interested in exercise and looking far too fashionable than in my day to even consider some of the things we used to get up to...I think attitudes change over time, but there's lots and lots of minor tweaks to be done to get there...

Nobber drivers (who are the ones that squeal like little girls when someone suggests enforcing driving standards) are the problem, not lefties. It's all to do with the massive sense of entitlement that comes with every car as standard, it seems. In fact, since my scruffy Fusion didn't have one, some must have two...
Why only Irish drivers?

The clips should be shown in cinemas and shown on TV late at night... complete with the police videos of the aftermath and the injuries.... like the Australian drink-drive ones.... shock people to stop them doing it.
You ever seen the ones by the Irish Road Safety Authority? Shown at any time of the day and always the same tune, "What a wonderful world".

Cracking a solo.
Is it absolutely genuine, not the issue the video? There seems to be a distinct lack of screaming or even a look of panic with the majority of them, some of them could be sitting in a chair in the hairdressers with the lack of facial reaction they display. Maybe it's me and I'm just projecting what I would imagine would be my highly strung, panic stricken, screaming like a banshee demeanour in to the videos.

As I mentioned earlier, it's probably worth noting that these are American teens, and probably the more gormless ones from states like Arkansas and Nebraska...I read somewhere that most Ohio teens' IQs are in single figures. That's probably not true.

I have to admit, I was discussing the vid with 'er indores, and said that my chortles were somewhat constrained by memories of occasions - and tho' not numerous, they are definitely in the 'several' sort of neighbourhood - when I've been driving along, something's happened with the music, say, and I've been distracted for a moment, then something's not sorted it quite like I would've expected, so I investigate a bit further, and then suddenly I kind of 'come to', and realise with a jolt that I have actually been paying zero attention to my driving or the road ahead for what must now be 10 or 15 seconds - plenty enough time for something to go horribly awry if anything happened up ahead. I always promise myself that 'I'll never let that happen again'.....and yet somehow, very occasionally, it does. There but for the grace of God...

Berties

Fast and careful!
i got rear ended by a lad texting, outside the docks in Southampton, you know when you can see a car coming towards you in your mirror, but all i could see was the top of his head, then bang ,I'm pushed forwards into the car in front, its worse if your expecting the impact, your a bit sore for a few days, but his insurance company had to pay a bit out

Yes I think it's real. The brain panics at the loss of control and concentrates on trying to regain it. Fight, flight or freeze type stuff. Screaming reactions are probably more for the movies.

Because, according to an answer on trip advisor with regards what side of the road the Irish drive on, "We drive on both sides. Depends if we are overtaking or just driving or just being a bit mad ... maybe we will drive on the left, but maybe we will drive on the right. It really depends on how we feel at any one give time."

And that's why only Irish drivers are the problem.
