Bought a white charge spoon from wiggle and tried it today and found it rock hard !
I compared it to the saddle on the boardman and it is a lot harder and after 15 miles i had had enough even though i had got seat height+setback dialed into my set up measurements .

Does this saddle soften up? this is the version with no perforations and compared to the older one i have on the MTB with perforations its certainly got less give.

Mine haven't, and I hope they don't, I like them as they are. I wouldn't give up after one ride, thugh, they will feel different and your butt will take 2 or 3 rides to get used to it, IMO and IME.

Mine hasn't either, but(t) has been the best saddle I've tried up to now
It's not perfect, but don't know what else to try as I'm on my 4th type already

possibly an indication that it is not the ideal saddle for you..?

I am getting around to the idea, worth £15 punt as i reckon i can sell it on.

They are indeed (as can be seen above) pretty popular saddles - let us know if you are thinking of selling. I have one on my Tricross and MTB but the Secteur has a Prologo on it, although a white Spoon would probably suit it just fine.

I had a Selle slr xp, mega light but very hard. The Spoon I have as well is comfier but it isn't right for my sit bones. I am using it as I don't want to chuck a load of money at saddles at the moment, but it ain't perfect. Saddles are very personal things.

You have second dibs , i reckon i will sell it on as i must have an odd shaped rear to go with the rest of my general oddness

You are not alone CK, I haven't been able to get along with my Spoon either. It's on my Ribble but as the bike is for sale at the moment hopefully the Spoon will be gone soon enough.

I loved spoons to start with, then I didn't, then I did and now I can't use them!! I then got a San marco regal and my world changed! Was so comfy out of the box that I did 100 miles on it the Sunday after fitting it a week before and had no soreness at all afterwards.

Try massaging it every now and again when you stop at lights. Remember you need to be happy, so do what ever it takes to be happy on your bike.
I had botranger but changed to a selle with a hole, my bums happy and even my lady parts are happy.
