I put a spoon on my CX last year and i get mixed results. No issues at all for the 10 mile commute but I do get pain and (very concerning) numbness on long rides (80+ miles). I don't know however if this is the saddle, the bib shorts or the bike fit. I know I often slide forward and have to make an effort to get my sit bones back on the wings of the saddle rather than taking all the weight from the nose on my (ahem) 'no-man's land'. This might be fixed by bringing the saddle forward on the rails 10mm or so? Either way I also know that it's definitely more comfortable that the Boardman factory fits (despite being made in the same factory).
I often think that I'd perhaps benefit from something with a cut out.
Either way, I'll persevere for the moment. It's not enough of an issue at the minute to go through the hassle of all the trials and adjustments.
