It seems some people get in a bit of a tis on forums, some get envious, for some it makes them sad, etc.

Maybe they should come with a health warning.

Personally I do not get as wound up as some seem to, if I did I have the will power to stop visiting them.

It's a bit more complicated than that...
An inability to use basic punctation - quote marks, question marks - can make some people angry. As can wilful stubbornness.

Is it possible to make yourself angry with stubbornness?
Probably - the human mind is a wonderful thing. But I was actually thinking about stubbornness in others. And it's less anger than despair at the human condition, and what billions of years of evolution, thousands of years of civilisation and, in the stubborn individual's case, tens of years of formal and informal education have led to - an unwillingness to approach questions with an open mind.

That is why I stopped reading certain parts of the forum like 'Commuting'. It just depressed me so much that I really don't want to know these days.

A lack of open mindedness doesn't bother me too much - I see it as a challenge. The thing that gets me angry is people's attitudes to their fellow humans. Posts that are designed to undermine a fellow poster - posts that look for the difference and hide the agreement - posts that are designed to indicate the poster's superiority - and most of all, posts that are designed to hinder rather aid communication, to obstruct rather than facilitate understanding - those are what keep me awake at night and occasionally lead to my taking a break from here and retreating to the calmer waters of thinkinganglicans.
