Do I have the heaviest commute bike?

I've commuted on an Anthrotech, which isn't the lightest of trikes.

But it's not mine, and it's not a bike, so I guess it doesn't count.

I've commuted on the tandem, too. Fully loaded for camping.

Comes to that, I've ridden in several times on my tourer laden for a weekend away. The bike itself is light enough (531ST), but the kit...

you may not be so bad, don't forget that weight includes full SKS mudguards, pannier rack, M+ tyres 622-37 at 1kg each and a hub gear that weighs close to 2.5kg on its own. Just putting the 3 speed hub on has taken 2lbs off the weight and another 2lbs could come off with lighter tyres.

Don't have the rack (although the carradice is similar weight empty, iirc). Full guards too, B17, 42c tyres... ;)

Oh well...... my 2009 Giant CRS 4.0 with lights \ mudguards \ bottle cages \ pump \ Marathon Plus tyres weights in at a hefty old 35lbs, maybe thats why I end up snapping rear axels when I give it a hard Time.

Then on the way to work I carry a back pack with clothes in, I get a good workout.

Don't have any scales in the house. Do have a Wii Fit though. Just got to work out how to use it to weight a bike. There is a pet option, but it means that I will have to choose a type and colour, which might give the bike a bit of a complex.

Ho hum.

My hybrid, weighs 21.3 kg, about 46 lb, that includes a multitude of front/rear lights and there associated batteries, brooks, mudguards, rear panniers, M+ 622-37 tyres, does not include my helmet with a camera and halogen light with 12v battery. Using the ratio mentioned earlier, "rider:bike", I would be 4:1.
Explains why that hill I climb feels steeper than I thought it would be:angry:.

I'm not getting the scales out, but Evans reckons that my bike weighs about 35lbs. Added to that are the locks, the basket with metal bracket, the handbag that goes in the basket, etc. etc. No wonder everyone passes me.
