I've got a Jagwire Pro road brake kit. I've had it for ages. I was thinking of putting it (initially) on the rear. It's a cable disc brake with full housing, so the one where compressionless housing might provide the most benefit.
But the bar wrap is fine, and I don't really like rewrapping. The brifters are Ultegra, so washing-line shifter cable. And I have crosstop levers too, with barrel adjusters.
So, and correct me if I'm wrong, I can start the new outers from the cross-top levers, and use the existing inner brake cable, yes? That would avoid having to re-wrap and also having to push the new inner through the fairly tight bend of the existing outers under the bar-wrap.
I assume most of the benefit of compressionless systems comes from the outer?
Thanks.
