Presently I ride a 2013 R3 which I love and it fits me perfectly, no aches n pains .
Recently I visited wheelbase and they have a massive bike sale on. I was offered a C3, Ultergra,
Hydraulic discs with a good set of wheels capable of 32mm tyres (which is the max the c3 can take).
This is a £4k bike reduced to £2145!! Had a quick go on it (mistake) and its different geometry than the R3
but still comfortable for me. I have presently my van nicholas Ti for sale on here but I reckon if I wait too long
They'll be gone. The was a guy in there who bought two.
Was looking at a boardman crx 9.2 bu no dealer near me. I very tempted to splash out right now?
BTW, they also had R3's disc at £2350. There all 2017 bikes

I reckon I do. Back roads round here are quiet but rough to very rough in parts. Winter riding, theres lots of loose stuff around and puddles
everywhere. Also farmer john (and his cows) seem to leave quite a lot of crap about now and then. We have seven months of winter here n 5 months of summer with iffy bits in between. A set of 28mm tyres and discs would do nicely I think.
I ride a winter bike more than a summer one so I might as well have a decent winter bike. Well, thats my thinking .

Post pics when you've bought it ;)

Your van Nic is tempting! You could barely be further away though!

It's way too black

And what's with the rear stays?

Doesn't do it for me...the van Nic is far prettier...

According to Cervelo:-

Moving the bottom bracket closer to the ground lowers the bike’s centre of gravity, improving stability and handling. Longer chainstays, a shallower headtube angle and additional fork rake increase trail and boost tire clearance, allowing for a wider range of tire sizes and room for a fender. All of this also produces a very stable, smooth and reliable ride.

Longer chain stays yes, curved maybe makes a bit more flexible , not quite sure. It certainly rides well.

Cervelo need to learn how to spell

But their marketing folks seemed to have mastered the art of BS gobbledegook well ;)

Enjoy your new bike :okay:
