A couple of times the quick release on the rear wheel of my 20" bike has been very hard to undo.
There's no way I installed it that tight, so - without getting into a pointless discussion about precession - I wonder if quick release skewers can get tighter over time.
It's a standard Shimano skewer, and because I don't tend to get punctures, it is probably left done up for months at a time.
The bike is my second/caravan bike, so doesn't do thousands of miles, but it will have done hundreds since I last released the skewer.
