They were running that on Eurosport over the Le Mans weekend. They really can't be getting any feedback.

Large German car companies on the other hand generally don't.
 
Saw the new Audi advert the other day, the one where all their cars are driven by clowns!
I haven't seen this ad, so googled for it. I found a campaign from September last year, which is presumably the precursor to this year's campaign. It seems a year ago they knew what clowns represented, I wonder what's changed. I note with relief, none of the clowns are on push bikes.

Some years ago for some reason my Pakistan agent had a rant at me about the PG Tips ads with the chimpanzee. He wanted to explain that in the subcontinent, advertising a brand with chimps would be commercial suicide because it would put consumers right off, the assumption being that if you drink it, you look like a chimp.
