That's why people love Gatorskins, it affords them opportunities to test their kit in the field.

Had Gators, had no punctures for 2000miles. Then the rear sidewalls failed, but they did well until that point.

Always carry them, got down to one tube when using M+ and didnt need them in 2k but good job as I didnt fit them and didnt fancy wrestling with them at the road side. Running Conti 4 seasons now and carry two tubes, 2 co2 canisters and the other tools, weights a far bit but neither of us drive and so I need to get home with bike one way or another.

I always have a saddle bag with a co2 pump, 3 canisters, levers, patches, multi tool and tube in it. Hardly a major chore to carry the extra weight around is. Even if it was I'd rather lump it around then have to walk even a couple of hundred yards in cycling shoes.

Yes, I carry CO2, pump, spare tubes and tools. Got a puncture last night in my Durano Plus.

6000 miles on the last Marathon Plus tyres and 2 punctures in that time, both through sidewalls . I always carry a tube and a kit .

I usually do carry them, but as it usually takes me about an hour to get the tyre off and on again in the comfort of my home I usually would just walk home instead. I'm still waiting for the first one when I need to "call a friend", to get me home. It's such a rare occurrence at a max of one or two visits per year.

Yes, and had to use it but fortunately not often.

I don't use M pluses, but nearly half my punctures seem to be from stuff other than straight-ahead punctures thru the tread....i.e. old puncture patches coming off, punctures thru sidewalls, rimtape moving and the inner wearing a hole via friction, etc.

I'd carry a spare tube and a repair kit. Hell I do and got caught out with both tubes going a month or so back. Then again, before that, it was over a year since my last pucture. Like buses!

Have had a few flats on Marathon Plus tyres in my MTB, so always carry spare tubes, patching kit, levers and a pump. Rarely ride it these days but ensure I carry spares, levers, repair kit, pump, Co2 inflator & spare cartridges on the road bike (plenty of flats riding Stelvio Plus, Duranos Plus and Gatorskins over the last 7 years!)

I don't use Marathons, I'd rather poke my eye out with a blunt needle.

I run conti 4 Seasons, and have had 1 deflation due to hitting a massive pothole. Thats it in a year. I still carry spares, you never know when you might be able to help the idiot that doesn't carry anything !

I use a different brand of puncture resistant tyre, but I'd never ride more than a mile or two without some tools, tubes patches and glue. Law of Sod applies here. Innit!

After 3 solid years/15,000+ miles, I've never had a puncture on a Marathon Plus. I've tried Durano, Durano plus, and Marathon Racers, and all have succumbed to (numerous) punctures, but the M+'s are nigh on invincible, and that's what I have on my trikes rear.

That said, I always carry a spare 700 rear tube and a Slime patch kit, just in case. I reckon that as long as you don't let then wear right down, and swap the inner tube every couple of years, you'd be very unlucky to get a puncture.
