At the time, often not
At other times, absolutely

The challenge is what makes it enjoyable

I will put up with a week of hassle, pressure and problems if recognised

Today I had an email from a senior Consultant who has caused me some hassle organising an urgent appointment for a patient

All it said was "Bloody hell... You lot are brilliant"

That what it is all about

Some days more than others, I am staff so get full pay if off sick, a few contacts have become buddies and we chat-swap jokes etc.. pay is good and it affords me the things I want and enjoy doing.

I've enjoyed every job throughout my entire career and it was a very rare day that I never wanted to go to work.

Was very well remunerated my entire life too which was an added bonus.

I even love my little post-retirement lifestyle business that also seems to pay me pretty well too.

Can't really imagine what it must be like to not like going to work.

Unthanks are one of those twee folk acts I work with and have to listen too...

My deepest sympathy. I audibly groaned during one of their performances this December when Rachel Unthank described how she'd found a snippet of folk music in Cecil Sharpe House and Adrian McNally had extended it to a four minute performance. I'd estimate that a quarter of the audience left to go to another performance elsewhere at eh Butlins folk weekend one of the highest exit rates that I've witnessed in four years of Butlins' folk weekends.

I liked the earlier incarnations of the Unthanks but in my opinion McNally has taken them in a direction that is tedious, over-arranged and alienating.

No. Hate my job with a passion. Hate the company and think about walking out of the door each and every day. I hate the bosses and I hate the people I work with. Unfortunately I need the job and until I can find another I must stay there, however the chances of me being able to find another job are slim because I cant get the time off to go to interviews and I cant pull a sicky, if I do, Ill probably loose the job.

My job's great in parts and literally shoot* in others and we found out more about this yesterday. We were told we've got an exciting product launch coming up and when the manager told us it was with an anal irrigation system, I burst out laughing. Everyone else shot me dirty looks as they're all looking forward to using it!

Admit it, you're all jealous, aren't you? They'd queue up from here to Portsmouth for an interview for a job that would let them get their hands on an anal irrigation system.

* I didn't write 'shoot' there!

Yes and no. I've sort of ended up where I currently am by accident. It's a post I probably wouldn't have applied for if I'd seen it advertised (never having done warehouse work before) but I find it engaging and relatively stress free so am quite content at the moment.

We are going through the post-Christmas lull so lately it's been a bit too quiet for my liking, but we've had a couple of days of icy mornings so no doubt there will be a rush of accident repair parts going out quite soon.

I don't hate my job, but I certainly don't love it.
Imuch preferred being " just a mum"
If only being a housewife paid better.
