This morning I set off on my ride to work as normal. I always check the obvious - keys, access pass, money etc but after today I may need to expand on the pre ride check list.

I'm pedalling along and after about 100 yards a bunch of kids at the bus stop started pointing and giggling. I checked that my helmet was on the right way round (been there done that!) and just shrugged it off.
5 minutes later I was starting to get paranoid as I'd been tooted at 3 times and pointed at by a few other kids. I confirmed I hadn't got loo roll sticking out of my shorts and that I was actually wearing shorts! At this point I spotted something very wrong - my cycle shoes had morphed into bright purple fluffy slippers with bows - oh dear....

And yes I rode all the way into work in those slippers. I havent yet decided if I ride home in the shoes I keep at work which unfortunately have 3 inch high heels or the slippers, I suspect both will look equally stupid!

So votes please - slippers or heels for the ride home?

Brilliant! lovely story. Oh, slippers with pride, definitely.
Any chance you could borrow a one'sy from somewhere to complement the look?

A couple of years ago I found myself unable to tie my tie one morning - every time I tried it, the knot just fell apart. This was a simple task which I had managed successfully, five days a week, for the previous thirty years. :scratch:In the end I had to take it to work and get one of my colleagues to do it for me.

It never happened since, but I took it as a sign so I stopped going to work.

I've definitely lost it, somewhere along the way....

I found out today that the reason I am still waiting, nearly 9 months, for my psychotherapy referral is because it never got to the psychotherapy department from my GP's surgery.

I unlocked and drove the kids home the three miles from school, in an old green 1300 something or other and realised when there was no shoping in the boot part that it was not my car . I dashed back and swapped over the cars. If the owner ever realised their car was missing for a while, it never got traced back to me anyway  ^_^.
