I dissapeard for a quick 9 miles before tea. My only day off, short shift on sunday and i cycle in every day.
I hate not cycling, been of a bike since Wednesday night and im climbing the walls
Do you find commute cycling addictive?
It's Saturday and I didn't cycle as I have 2 children. I really missed it!
Does anyone else miss cycling on their day off?
The exercise must cause the release of some feel-good hormones or why else would we all be so keen to take the harder option for travelling to work?

The feel-good hormones are endorphins. Nature's pain killers, mental and physical, apparently.
It's not just the exercise making us feel good (if you'd seen the speed I go you'd agree). It's just more fun to whizz around at 10 or so mph with your face in the world on something that responds to your whole body than to it is to sit in a chair going at 30mph in a box that you control with your feet and hands and a glass between you and everything else.
yes, and i find myself coming up with excuses to not use the car now. it has been known for me to go on the bike and SWMBO and kids go in the car with the bike rack in the boot in case i don't want to ride home.
