Do you find watching the robotic Olympics unsettling

Hi ,
Just been watching the Olympics but the competition is between robots.
I don't know whether it's just me but i find it unsettling to watch.
These things are now running the 100 metre race like lightning, there engaging in martial art fights that are on the level of super human capabilities.
These things have come on in leaps and bounds over a very short time and it makes you wonder what's it going to be like in another 10 years or so.
Seeing all those Android things parading along looks reminiscent to the film I robot with Will Smith.
Just imagine if this level of technology and the advancement of AI end up being used in the military.
It's frightening to think what the future can potentially hold for us.

Imagine one of those coming knocking at your door asking to see your TV license.
Just the other day I was watching a YouTube vid and a vlogger in Las Vegas was standing on a busy street corner filming the traffic.
It was so funny to watch as the car drivers where blasting there horns at the driverless taxi's to get out the way of them.He was creased up with laughter wondering whether the cabs would react to it all

I am with you OP. I have no idea what they cost to make but for a certainty the powers that be will already be debating thier use in warfare.

To be fair, it did need stretchering off afterwards. No bolt pose, or running round track after, high fiving those in the stand. Fascinating to watch. Unsettled, no.
