Just went through all the posts to see if anyone had told this joke.

Looks like it's covered pretty thoroughly.

Oops must check more thoroughly next time. Not good as I am also a mechanical engineer!

100% here and it's probably a spoof but I can't be bothered to repeat with incorrect answers to verify. Did an engineering degree then spent 20 years in engineering before moving into product management where I still use my engineering background.

Of course the advantage of being a naturally gifted engineer is the ability to find simple solutions to DIY problems

Blagged it...100%.
There's engineers and engineers....im an engineer...but a lowly tools man.
Many of those questions I had no idea...and yet obviously some of the terminology can be interpreted with even lowly experience.
 
BTW, there is a fundamental problem with this that we are ignoring. It is not remotely an engineering aptitude test, it's a trivia quiz. It would be better titled "How much do you remember from science class"
