I just wondered what people do? I usually commute in quite quickly in the mornings and shower there, but on the way back I go slower as I can't be bothered showering at home. I mean, two showers a day minimum seems mad! Or maybe I'm just lazy... I just wondered what the community tends to do!

I cannot commute by bike as i have tools and gear in a van.But if i did then yes, whats wrong with having two showers.

In the hot Summer months i have been known to have half a dozen showers everyday.Better to be cool and clean than stinky and sweaty.

I start sweating somewhere around the point I consider getting on the bike. So pretty much any journey necessitates a shower at the end of it. I've also proved completely unable to 'just bimble along' if I'm riding on my own although I can manage it in company so the concept of riding home at half pace so as not to be sweaty isn't really one I can embrace.

Nah, just integrate a 'cooling down' part to my ride through the housing estate, bit of talc and a complete change of clothes and it's fine.
I shower more in the winter commutes to warm up/ clean off if it's been a wet/ cold one.

Shower when I wake up, shower after I have cycled to work, shower when I get home... The first one usually is a quick one to wake me up.

Some smelly cyclists about I see

Shower when I get to work, Shower when I get home (sometimes not straight away depending on how mad the kids have driven the wife!)

The concept of an easy ride for me is a difficult one, unless injured or ill. even then I often push too much)

I too am unable to bimble so my 10 mile sprint to and from work soaks me to the skin. I shower on arrival at work and my wife insists I shower when I get home (but I would anyway). I don't see anything wrong with showering twice a day if you are exerting yourself but will also happily go almost 48hrs if just sat vegetating

When I get home I don't actually smell so much mainly because my ride home is mostly down hill, only two uphill sections punctuated by traffic lights so not really able to work up much of a sweat.

In addition to that, when I make it back home I have to walk the dog, clean the house, sort the washing and whatever other errands I need to run so don't really see the point in showring immediately. Once I have eaten, I will consider a shower before bed, but only if I smell whiffy. :gun:
