Shower when I wake up, shower after I have cycled to work, shower when I get home... The first one usually is a quick one to wake me up.

Some smelly cyclists about I see
Fresh sweat shouldn't actually be smelly, isn't that the theory? Nobody has complained to my face anyway!

If I showered that often I would be washing off medicated creams so that would be a waste of time, as they are apply once a day, and since I have to pay £8 something for the privilege, it would also be a waste of money.

I'm fortunate that my commute in the morning is mostly 7 miles down hill so I hardly break sweat. The ride home, well it's the opposite. It's straight in the shower after I've sorted my clothes for the next day and got my breath back.

I think if you do multiple journeys then it's a bit different. For simply doing the 8 hour shift or so. Then going home and not doing more cycling then yes shower..... as it's end of the commute etc.

And yes, I shower when I get in, also because I work in a tool room so to get smell of all metalsizes and coolants off me.

I tend to get home right in the middle of the kids bath time. It's totally manic, so I shower before bed, but not straight away when I get in.

I presume that the 'No' voters are either single/live alone or have a very short commute. I cannot imagine remaining sweaty and smelly through the evening.

Married, with a 9 mile commute, perhaps it's because I don't sweat, I glow:biggrin: (I wish).

Don't shower at work, there's no shower  don't need to anyway, only 5 miles at 5mph.
Will shower when I get home, or, in case of multiple journeys, like today, will shower when there's no more cycling to be done.

I'm a stinky one. I work away from the OH, so no one has to put up with me in the evenings and I can't see the point. If I'm not soaking I'll prolly not even change clothes, as I commute in baggies and t-shirt they're fine for hanging about the house. Also, in the summer at least, I tend to end up fettling in the backyard or doing homebrew - neither activities do you really want clean clothes on for. ofc if I'm going out or meeting the OH then I shower.

I just wondered what people do? I usually commute in quite quickly in the mornings and shower there, but on the way back I go slower as I can't be bothered showering at home. I mean, two showers a day minimum seems mad! Or maybe I'm just lazy... I just wondered what the community tends to do!

Now I have the ride in sorted i do

wake up - shower then dressed
Commute in to pool - shower swim and shower
finish work shower swim shower
commute home shower
just before bed - maybe have a shower if i think mrs subaqua is game for special snuggles ;)

so 6 maybe 7 showers a day
