tip off to fellow geeks: the horror channel (70) is showing classic doctor who hidden amongs the ghastly torture movies.

Record Pertwee's Carnival of Monsters recently. Really rather good - they arrive on a steamship in the Indian Ocean but not everything is as it seems. Monsters, an alien planet's politics and a rogueish carnival showman, and the lovely Jo Grant. Maybe not one of the greatest but good fun all the same

One of my faves back in the day when I was a nipper. Saw the 'Drashig' (an anagram of dishrag:laugh:) at a Dr Who exhibit in Blackpool circa 1973. This story features the late Ian Marter as a member of the ships crew. He returned as naval doctor Harry Sullivan in Tom Bakers first series. Sadly deceased, I thought it was nice of the current show to reference him in the recent Zygon two-parter with lines like 'the Sullivan gas' and 'naval officer attached to UNIT who developed the gas' etc.

Me as the cycling doctor who. But seriously.... ;-)

My favourite of the Doctor Who series since it started again used to be David Tennant, but it's now Peter Capaldi.
Tom Baker was my favourite of the "old series".

Not very good of thinking of new people who could play the part of the next Doctor.
