Not for cycling, I do that for gardening, light permitting of course. Is anyone else making the most of those non-raining moments at whatever o'clock it happens to be?
Rain or no rain, I still need to be at my work for a certain time.
My preference would be getting up at 8, sadly I need to be up every day at 5.30amGetting up at 5am?
No, my preference would be getting up at 7 even if it does mean getting drenched![]()
Well, here it hasn't really been for weeks on end, maybe the last 2 weeks?with a strong, cold, easterly wind blowing day and night for weeks on end. You have to have a certain mentality to cycle here,
Today it wasn't windy.
I was off during the week, on Thursday I rode (even though I do get a free bus pass
)to visit a friend, nothing major, just a round trip of less than 10 miles.I got home pure frozen: the wind was ice!
Yes, one needs to have a stubborn mentality to cycle here

I only look at the weather app for icy temperatures, so I know to prep the ice bike for the commute. It seems that November right through to March in the UK is a constant weather watch for cyclists,
The apps are not always correct, hence you can find me at 6am in the dark checking the status of the cat's outdoor water bowl

yesterday i walked along the shore but couldnt look out to sea for long as the fierce onshore easterly made your eyeballs feel like they were freezing in their sockets!
