Residents will make a one off adoption fee of £34.99 to adopt the pothole of their choice. Then following three monthly payments of £9.99 Dorset Council will repair the chosen pothole with the money they have made over the three month period.
Council boss Jackie Bowen said "This scheme allows residents to pick the pothole they want repairing, it also gives the council the funds for the repair work. Its a win win situation. Every adopter will also get an adoption certificate as a thank you from us".

The roads in this area of Numptonshire are disgraceful, we journeyed in to Warwickshire a couple of weeks ago and and it was like driving on a snooker table and I didn't need to keep swerving to miss the graters
