Please tell me it`s no more than three:cursing:

I had a half day off from work on Thursday, so decided as it was a nice day to take the long ride home. So far so good. My faithful mtb which I use for my commuter during the winter has been absolutely flawless through the snow, ice, rain, and general hell that I put it through. That was until Thursday when I had 10 miles of binding brakes, shortly followed by not being to change up and down the cassette, and then to finish off in fine style the rear quick release skewer snapped, having obviously caused all the other problems.....................

I`ve spent all week phoning and rowing with a finance company over pennies, and almost been driven to drink:hyper:

And finally last night I get home to find water everywhere, the rain was getting in through my gas boiler, soaking it, the wall behind it, and everything on the worktop below

Ever had one of those weeks??:banghead:

Don't worry speccy, it's OK, next week the three things will be different ones.

My week....

1. Washing Machine gives up - replacent required
2. Inlet to cold water tank gives way - floods half the house
3. chain snaps on bike

so, yes things come in threes's:angry:
That really doesn`t sound good, I`m paranoid about water tanks, mine are perfectly ok but I`d rather they weren`t up there at all, much damage to your house??

Some plasterboard ceiling has to be replaced It could have been a lot worse - the other half of the cottage is 1850's lath and plaster), both upstairs and downstairs along with a small piece of internal wall. in thespare bedroom. Mostly it is allowing the structure to dry out before any remedial work can commence. fortunately, the insurance company is allowing me to use my local friendly builder to put things right.

I was sat drinking coffe when I heard a noise in the kitchen, I went through and found the light fitting hanging by it's cable and a lot of water everywhere. This is the second home that it has happened to me:sad:. The first occasion it was caused by some dodgy workmanship from Wimpy Homes builders,

This time, it appears to have been the actions of the company who installed free loft insulation. They weren't interested in the job and just threw the stuff around before heading off on to the next job.

Hopefully, you are starting to dry out, and it is going to be an easy fix. Water just seems to make things so much worse.

I've just replaced the chain on my mtb, and am now waiting for the wind and rain die down before heading off on a test ride. I don't want another walk back ( I didn't want to end up kneeling down in half frozen snow/slush and mud when I wasn't far from a warm kitchen where I could fettle away in the warm).

P.S. have been told that three bad things are always followed by three good things - now waits in anticipation:unsure:
