Just wondering if it annoys you when people post a thread about something that's been discussed before?
Personally I don't mind...sometimes i've changed my mind or have a different view on the situation so it's quite refreshing. However, I've seen a little resentment from some if a topics already been discussed.
Do you mind?

Ironically...Just realised that this might have been discussed before!

I suppose there's only so much stuff you can discuss about bikes, so things are bound to come around again.

Anyway, what tyres should I buy?

Depends on the topic, how often it comes up, how easy it is to find information elsewhere, how likely it is generate pages full of dreck etc.

I would opt for the word frustrates rather than annoys. I find it very frustrating to see pages full of people giving advice about something they know nothing about, then when one or two people who do have an idea about something other than their own peanut comment, it gets overlooked because it is buried within the dreck!

Doesn't bother me as I have the memory of a gold fish anyway.

Should I wear hi-vis? Do BMW fit indicators as standard? Shimano is miles better than Campag. Did you know you are better to wear a helmet if you are going to head butt a brick wall? Should I spin a low gear up a hill or get out of the saddle?

Doesn't bother me, and I know for a fact that Ianrauk is always very keen to discuss whether cyclists should acknowledge eachother on the road, whenever the topic is raised ^_^

i think its good to discuss things even if there are other threads about it.
there are always new folk on and they may have different opinions and even ideas on a subject.
also i tend to find that sometimes a thread about a topic can drift a certain way depending on the contributors and if you start a new thread about a subject it can go a completely different direction .
so i think it is ok as-long as there isnt already a post or 2 on the same page about the same thing

Absolutely not.

I am fairly new to the forum so haven't discussed/asked about everything yet & don't mind repeats.

I have 'just realised' though that I do push 'my choice of bike' in a "what bike thread" far too often so may try to avoid that in future.
