Did the Holkham Hall 100 miler on the Saturday of the May Day holiday week-end at a fast pace (for me!) and felt fine afterwards.
On the bank holiday Monday rode their 20 mile family ride with my 13 year old son and his friends and their Dads. Ave. speed about 11 mph. Felt completely cream crackered and spent the rest of the afternoon lying under one of their enormous deck-chairs fast asleep! Weird!![]()
What did you think of the Holkham weekend? I'm thinking of travelling over with the family next year.
Kids and grandkids are very tiring.

Fantastic three days. The fine weather and light winds helped (following week-end was rubbish!) very well organised and lots to do and see after the days ride.
Area is very nice. lovely coastline, not far from Sandringham and only 2 miles from Wells Next To Sea, another very attractive sea- side town.
Camping is available on-sight. Lots of people camped for the Bank Holiday week-end and rode every day. 100, 100, and a hilly fifty on Monday - now there's a challenge!
Only criticism I would have is that it was a little expensive to enter. I got a discount being a member of North Norfolk Wheelers cycling club, but even that worked out at £22 for the Saturday hundred.![]()
