Walking the dog this morning along the shared use path that I frequently cycle along (and come back complaining about dog walkers!)
It's a wide path, I was on one side right at the edge the dog behind me -spot a cyclist approaching on the opposite side.
He was still a way off when the dog decided to cross the path and was right on the edge -same side as the cyclist. I was in front when the cyclist got to us, and despite having plenty of room between me , him and the dog -he cycled straight at my dog making him literally jump out of the way.
I hate wandering dogs in the middle of the path as much as the next cyclist, but I'd never deliberately cycle at one -as much because I don't want to fall off my bike as not wanting to squish a dog - especially not when I had two metres of clear path to choose from.
Weird.
I went for a ride later and was pushed into the nettles twice by other cyclists not wanting to give an inch, so it's perhaps just the day for it.
