Dog rescues.

We have been a cat family for years but now we live on a busy main road. So Mrs W would like a dog we have had some experiences of looking after or loving a dog when we looked after our daughters 2 dogs while they were out in Brunei.
So now we thinking a dog might be a might a good thing for us and the dog.
Any recommendations.

Small dogs are too much pot lot with their character, behaviour and intelligence for my liking. You may get a great one like Ethel's Willy, or you may get an 8lb slavering buglblatter beast.

Miniature Schnauzer.

Super little characters, but with a tendency to be couch potatoes if not exercised. My bestie has two (half siblings, same sire) and they are such dear little things. The girls are definitely smarter than the boys (mostly), but they're game for doing things like agility and even flyball.

Otherwise, indoor cat or get a cat run.

Really depends on the size of dog you would be looking for. Also how much fur you want to be hoovering every day.

Don't get a Welsh Collie, retired mum got one five years ago and it's an ongoing nightmare, barking at anything that makes a sound; yanking when on lead but can't be trusted off lead; breaking mother day by day both physically and mentally.
