Don't forget the clocks are messed up again this weekend

We seem to have this debate twice a year. Our MPs in their wisdom talked the debate that would have set the clocks in one time zone all year out of the House of commons in January but I see that it seems to be expected to be debated in the commons again before the next election. Personaly I see no reason why we have to go through with this silly act twice a year

At least it makes a nice change from talking about the weather and gives us something to complain about for a weekend

It was one of Dave's promises to go to Euro time. Like many of his promises, they disappear like snowflakes in June.

Being one hour adrift from Europe and consequently having to endure stupid, dark winter nights has been a personal PIA all my life.

It's the best gift anybody can receive; it means an extra hour in the evenings so that after-work rides can start.

Any Government can only pass legislation if they get a majority - sadly January's Daylight Saving Bill failed due to a small number of MPs making it run out of time. The Scottish ones especially were not in favour. If Scotland gets independence, then any new Bill would stand a better chance of succeeding.

I'm not looking forward to next week, they change the clocks and then it takes a week for my body clock to catch up, just to add to the confusion I'm back at work and back cycle commuting next week after a month sick.

Those pesky Scots, holding us back with their dark winters.

Yes, they should be grateful they don't live in Reykjavik, sunrise is at around 11:20am in mid December .

It has nothing to do with the farmers, it is for the gadget obsessed like my Dad so that they can take great glee at fannying about, changing all the clocks in the house at least 12 hours in advance, therefore confusing everyone, ffs!
