So, you're driving down a relatively narrow road with cars parked along both sides, and suddenly there's someone coming the other way. You do the decent thing, pull over & flash your lights, and here they come, driving the 70 yards towards you and...straight past, without so much as a glance. Swear to God, I'm gonna get me some James Bond style rear-facing bazookas fitted behind my rear lights. Let's see them ponder the basics of common courtesy in the middle of a 2000 degree fireball...

Near enough every driver that doesn't show simple courtesy down our Devon lanes is on a London plate.
Too busy worrying about scratching their Audi Q 7s and BMW X 5s to show any manners.

Always better when you're on a single country lane, knowing there's a tractor(and trailer) coming up behind you. You pull in at the first place it's safe to. Whilst you wait the car flys past you, then is forced back past you by the tractor.

This is one of my pet hates about other drivers. No common courtesy. I'm of the view that some drive around with a sense of entitlement and are of the opinion that the rest of us are there to serve.

No, we just don't like communicating with inbreds.

I normally shout you're welcome after them. A verbal fireball normally suffices.

Why?

I can never understand this desire to confront someone over what amounts to eff all. At best it makes you look like a prat, at worst you could get a good hiding if you pick on the wrong person. Is it really worth any aggro at all because you've pulled in to make progress easier for both of you and the other party hasn't thanked you?

Get on with life and worry about the things that matter. No wonder people get heart attacks.

Chill a bit...I just mutter it to myself and don't let it bother me.
