we went to a broadband only contract a few years back, the handset went into the roofspace
we're now considering FTTP which will mean a defunct copper line. that will be strange but we'll all go that way eventually

FTTP much better!

We have 1Gbps at router - only speed limitations are the device and distance from router.

15m from router (furthest we can get indoors) and phone speed is still c150Mbps and laptop c190Mbps.

One signal booster in the hall (bungalow).

I wonder if Mrs. Bucket still using her white, slimline telephone with last number re-dial.

I work down the woods a bit and so find a landline rather nice when I get home as I can have a clear and constant discussion for a change.
