;) Aye.

I rode past one near York in May on the Bank Holiday Sunday. On the A64, queues of lemmings heading for the coast, and I just glided past, seemingly absorbing their frustration as a 'feel good' aura as I went.

The Forth Road Bridge is a bit of a bottle neck and can see queues several miles long and its quite nice when you go flying by on the north (Inverkeithing) approach and folk are asking for a backee ;) like I've not heard that a 100 times before but I still find some amusement

i love it when people rush past you, and a few miles down the road, i pedal past and giggle to my self as i know they will be there a while.

Has Rose Kennedy got a black dress?

I counted one morning, strictly speaking it wasn't a jam, just a series of cars waiting at lights and junctions.

Over 7 miles I overtook a hundred and sixty odd cars.

The only thing I don't like about traffic jams is you know the tit that went past you a couple of miles down the road to fast and way to close and nearly knocked you off will have the chance to do it again.

But yes I do love it when I go past them all sitting there

Depends how powerful your engine is. My jam-buster has 998cc and 130 ponies, any stationary cars I pass do not get a chance to pass me back. ;)

Yeah, yeah, I know, wrong sort of cycle but my commute is 25 miles and that would take me too long on a bike-without-motor.;)

I like the bit on the south side where my route takes me over both the major approach roads to the Forth Road Bridge and I can see all the cars sat there knowing I'll be home before they get to the Bridge:biggrin:

I've only ridden through one major traffic jam, It made me smile at one point as I slowed coming up to a roundabout. A guy said to his passenger 'look at him, he's got the right idea, I'm getting a bike'. Another new convert ;)

Norm doesn't do mornings.

Although I must admit that I've been checking out bikehike.co.uk (great resource, thanks to whoever posted that!) to see if there is a viable route.
