It's a really great idea, but not sure if TV would be the best medium. If, say C+, did a 30 min magazine type broadcast for the web that would be really good.

It could be "inclusive" and promote diversity. We could have various features:

"Dyke on a bike" anyone?

And trikes for "the disabled" (there is no smiley to match, but would just about cover it)

They could do a one off special seeing as a bike won the race it could be a prize for the cyclists. Could have Clarkson doing a lap on a Pinarello, May on a Brompton. Draft in Phil Ligget, Gary Imlach Paul Sherwen and Chris Boardman for the night.

Right, and it would be such a good plot if I told you about it, wouldn't it...

there is a way you can do this yourself for no money at all. Firstly find 2 other mates of same fitness level and height weight etc. go to LBS and each of you test ride a different bike around a set area/track/park. Film it all and stick it on You tube. the hire of the bike cost you nothing filming if you already have a camera cost you nothing. Its free and easy TV. You got to tell us all about the link though otherwise how would we know.
