Crap cycle lane there. I'd be happier with no lane, and filter on the right.
Looks like they were slow enough and on the ball to prevent anything serious. Hopefully the passenger got a bollocking.

Predictable unfortunately, I've seen it loads of times :-( The passenger was probably getting a lift to work but they hit congestion, after a few minutes they say, 'I'm only round the corner, I'd be quicker walking' and get out suddenly without looking!

Generally, the cycle paths in Melbourne are much better than London, but I agree that's a horrible one.
