Here for rides.
First half-way decent episode of the latest series, I thought. Capaldi is growing on me. Clara is 2D and needs to go. Perkins for assistant!

I noticed Clara seemed to be showing a bit more cleavage than normal; I didn't notice much else to be honest.
Nice legs too on Saturday. Too many episodes set in Victorian times recently.
Can't beat Peri for massive amounts of cleavage on display.

Davidson always complained that his death/transformation scene was his finest ever performance, yet none of the millions of viewers actually saw it

Dr Who continuity is dreadful. When I watched it in 1974 John Pertwee was the Doctor. I look away for 40 years and some old wrinkly bloke is playing him.

Unless it's just that John Pertwee has aged very badly?

He turned dwon the job!

Apparently Frank Skinner has pestered a part for many years
Have to say I thought "oh god no" when I saw Mr Skinner was in it as I'm not keen on his chat-show persona. However, he does have form as an actor and I have to say I really liked him in this episode. Rather understated but intelligent.

Capaldi is definitely channelling Tom Baker's Doctor, which I'm pleased to see - and the somewhat neglected jelly babies (haven't they been a fixture since Pertwee?) are back again.

I did wonder in this post Pertwee politically correct world what would be in a cigarette case

Jelly Babies are an obvious answer

Personally, I think the current series is pants !! Nothing happens, there is little or no logic, and it is as if the episodes where supposed to be 90 mins, but then cut down so huge parts are missing with no explanation .. I mean.. 66 seconds ? Why ? Did I blink and miss it ?

Bring back Amy Pond !!!

I have had it inflicted on me this evening and I have diligently kept track of the blessed hairclip and it remained on her left side the entire time.
Her cleavage on the other hand varied considerably, and was much more entertaining...
(BTW it was done with makeup, just in case the boys haven't kept up at the back....)

That almost needs a poll

Which of the assistants should we bring back.

A a young teenager... I have fond memories of Zoe (Wendy Padbury)

One of teh first to contribute rather than decorate...

Then of course there was the wonderful (Late) Elizabeth Sladen

WHO (see what I did there) again forwarded the role of the assistant to a new level. Somehow I don't see either Amy Pond or Clara having their own series or appearing with as many Doctors
