It is humid as we had heavy rain around 5am. The van 'was' clean. Now covered in dust.

My van hasn't moved this week. I had two visits to do but never without the dogs, and the last thing they need is to get wound up and excited when they realise where theyre going so I swerved off both.

Having had the gas fire repaired that was condemned last year (the maintenance gas man just shut it off and said a part was obsolete) repaired today it's had to run for 30 minutes to check it's OK (it needed a new thermocouple British Gas didn't have, but I sourced easily - although many thanks to the maintenance man last week who provided a brilliant service and details). The rooms that were cool earlier this morning when I got up at 5.30am now aren't.

On the other hand at least it's repaired, mainly because I never got round to having the fire removed due to being too busy / indolent.

28 degrees c here in Sunny Shropshire. Short walk completed before it gets too hot.
The dehumidifier is now running to dry out the air. Cold lemonade is going down well.

Just walked a mile to the chemist and back. I almost evaporated.

Just been outside to pop the solar panel onto my Anker Solix power bank - might as well use free electrons to charge it back up.

A few flashes of lightning ovee the A14 this morning at about 07:15 with wet roads from a previous downpour.

Humidity is awful. Im sweating like Bill Clinton interviewing an intern. Its so bad I've swerved off doing any music practice or weights exercise today, which is unheard of for me.

We seem to be missing it in South Manchester. Two big systems have gone past from Liverpool into Lancashire and Yorkshire and another on the Scottish borders. Lightning Maps is going nuts in the Yorkshire Dales now !
