I'm looking for something to add to my water bottles to give me a little more energy.
I've been told that dextrose powder works well.
Can anyone else give suggestions please.
I've tried energy gels but don't like them.

Try this, it tastes nice and has lots or carbs. It won't give you a quick hit like a gell though and is more to keep you topped up on long rides. If you just want a kick the try High5 Extreme tabs but only if you aren't sensitive to caffeine.

What sort of length rides are you doing?

Too bad you don't live near me. Not a fan of SIS energy myself (well, the one flavour I tried) and I can't even give it away. Yup, still in the cupboard. probably bin it tonight.

SiS not a bad make, but obviously taste is important for some, so many brands to chose from, if you are caught short just try a 50/50 mix of orange juice and water with a pinch of salt and bicarb of soda

If I am at a Londis/Spar/etc, and out of water, I buy lucozade orange and water, and mix fifty-fifty
