What a lot of faffing! Is she comfortable on the mountain bike? Just fit some slicks, you'll find they go fast enough.

The triathalon was yesterday, she came 2nd out of 23 starters in the 'pink wave' ladies event having done the 13 mile cycle on her Norco with 2 inch tyres in 53 mins.

Yes, as has been pointed out, if she's comfortable on the mountain bike then why not? and that's what we went for.

For next year we're hoping to have the road bike usable as it should get her to the run in slightly better condition to get a better run time that she knows she's capable of from having done 10k runs before.
Going to look into flared bars, horns and just going flat bars, whatever works for her is what's right.

We're (I'm not sure when I agreed to this) going to enter the general sprint next year
Need to get my bike sorted then!
