Picked up my new bike today
Took her for a wee spin round the block (before the rain came on).
Obvious maximum saddle height is too low, so needs to go back for adjustment but saddle was dropping as I rode along.
This happened in the shop but they tried it a few times and said it was ok.
Should this be easy enough to fix and will they need to fit a new cable?
Thanks

What make and model dropper. If cable rather than hydraulic, it's a bit like adjusting a brake cable. There should be a knurled adjuster on the dropper lever on the bars. I suspect the cable is a little tight and activating the dropper mechanism.

I'm guessimg its an air post..
I'd want it serviced, sent back to manufacturers..
Had this a lot with some makes.

Mechanical posts have a lock out at each increment so it cant move unles you press the lever

Sid some googling
Read that if the seatpost is overtightened the dropper can slip down.
Loosened it off a wee bit and seems to have done the trick.
Cycled into Aberdeen (to have the dropper cable adjusted as maximum heigh of saddle was too low) and it didn’t slip at all
Many thanks for all the replies.

Over tightened seat clamps usually slow the posts from returning.
