I've currently got a Marin Hybrid which im very pleased with but want to move to drops. Can I just replace the flat bars with drops? I assume I can but want to make sure.

Obviously I'll need new brake levers, hoods etc but again I assume that's not a big issue?

Any idea of the rough cost to do it? I'll use a LBS to do the fit

Cheers

The short answer is yes, of course
Costs are dependent on your choice of components, you will need handlebar, hoods, tape, gear shift/brake sti's, new cables plus the LBS labour cost
If you are pleased with the Marin I would personally keep it the way it is and use the money towards a seperate road bike

Wouldn't the hybrid frame geometry be too laid back for a road bike conversion?
Don't the Sirrus and Secteur have essentially the same geometry for example (and perhaps even the Tricross?)

Sounds like an expensive plan (especially if not able to do oneself) - the perfect excuse for an N+1
