I had a R80GS back then day. The old air cooled GS's are worth some tasty dollar these days.
A Norton Commando.
By the time I could afford one they'd stopped making them.
I'd never buy a classic. I'd rather ride a bike than send half my time desperately trying to track down spare parts.Ebay is your friend...
difficult choice.
hayabusa (1999) of course, but i have a soft spot for triumph speed triples
however I would love to have a RD250LC again or even an RD125 in white with a red flash on the tank![]()
I reckon you'd spend less time doing that with a classic Brit than with some contemporary European marques....I'd never buy a classic. I'd rather ride a bike than send half my time desperately trying to track down spare parts.
Triumph Street Twin, with loads of accessories. they beat Ducatti to it by at least a year....a cafe racer version of the already dribblesome scrambler.
How would I get such an n+1 past the lovely Helen?
And if you could have one last mo'bike in current production, what would it be?
Needlessly lardy and underbraked. And no v twin.Triumph Street Twin, with loads of accessories. they beat Ducatti to it by at least a year.

It was ever thus. There are lots of bikes like this, Triumph, Ducati and Yamaha are the worst offenders in my eyes. Like a big wall of velcro has been set up and some blokes have a competition to wang bits of velcro covered metal at it as fast as they can.
